Chloride – a leading manufacturer of industrial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for energy generation and transport operators – brings to market the Chloride® SMC-3P Retrofit. This game-changing technology represents a giant leap in heavy industry's journey to energy transition and is the culmination of over 5 years of visionary work by Chloride's R&D Department.
The Chloride® SMC-3P Retrofit has been developed to meet the challenges faced by Battery Room operators in transitioning from existing, toxic NiCad and VRLA batteries to clean Sodium Metal Chloride (SMC) batteries. SMC batteries have a lifecycle of 25 years and are both heat and emissions free, removing the need for HVAC and ensuring Battery Rooms are not classified as ATEX environments.
Universally Compatible
The Chloride® SMC-3P Retrofit is platform-neutral and fully compatible with all third-party manufacturers' systems, enabling operators to upgrade instead of replacing their existing UPS.
Pre-wired Cabinet
SMC batteries are supplied pre-wired in the standalone, fully connectorised cabinet, reducing installation time and improving operational redundancy.
Battery Management
Chloride's LYNX touchscreen HMI control ensures clear and accurate monitoring of all connected SMC batteries.
